This year the Pacific Music Awards Trust honoured Pacific women as the theme for the awards ceremony.  This was achieved through acknowledging the 2013 female finalists, Pacific female music artists past and present.  Porirua songstress Aaradhna made a clean sweep at the night’s Pasefika Proud Pacific Music Awards winning all five categories in which she was a finalist as well as the NZ On Air Radio Airplay Award.

Other winners on the night were Tomorrow People (Radio 531pi Best Pacific Group), Vaniah Toloa (Tagata Pasifika Best Pacific Language), Cilla (Phillip Fuemana Award, Most Promising Artist) and the late Mavis Rivers (Manukau Insitute of Technology Lifetime Achievement Award).
